Brown kraft paper allows the option to add white ink as an overprint. The white ink serves as a base for CMYK, creating a bright white surface that enables vibrant, crisp colors. Areas without white ink will appear darker due to the natural color of the stock.
Similar to spot UV masks, white mask files are created separately from your artwork files. Black in the white mask file indicates where white ink will be printed.
Ensure your mask file is the same size as your artwork file to avoid alignment issues during printing.
Note: White masks must be created in vector format and saved as EPS or PDF. Any area with less than 100% black will be transparent, allowing the brown kraft stock to show through.
Use vector paths or shapes to define black areas that indicate where the white ink base will be applied. All other areas will display the natural brown kraft stock.
